Laurie was a TV journalist and documentary maker before founding a digital health business, Primal Pictures, in 1992. He also ran a non-profit enterprise agency providing business support to thousands of start-up businesses in the UK. He trained as an executive coach at Henley Centre for Coaching in 2021 to address the need for personal growth among founders who lack access to coaching.
